CFSN at the Piruqatigiit Resource Centre

Computers For Success Nunavut recently donated laptops to the Piruqatigiit Resource Centre. The Piruqatigiit Resource Centre holds a vision for Nunavummiut with suspected and confirmed Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) to experience improved quality of life and equitable opportunities.

The computers donated by CFS will be used for working with children and youth who have FASD. These children and youth use this technology to work on self regulation skills and technology skills, and access program tools in our weekly programs. They also use the computers to teach resume writing with youth and adults with FASD. Eventually they will be used for learners that take the Community Caregiver/Respite Care Providers training in the late fall.

Kids who frequent the centre (some kids with FASD and ADHD, and some siblings of those kiddos) are enjoying using the computers for games and apps.
